SANYA HARIYANI

An early entrepreneur in teacher training and curriculum development in ECCE in India, Sanya is a specialist in child pedagogy. Sanya plays various roles as a trainer, policy maker, speaker, lecturer, researcher and blogger.

Sanya completed her Masters in Home Science (ECE) from SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai and undertook research on the topic “Infant Stimulation – A Multiple Intelligence perspective” under the Barrington Education Initiative, Switzerland.

Since 2012, through Learning Synapses, she has developed and implemented simple, systematic and comprehensive curriculums for pre-schools across the country. She has also conducted personnel training for teachers, trainees, rural caregivers, pre-school and school leaders and parents across India.

She has been selected a Global Leader in Early Childhood Education (2019 – 2020 Cohort), by World Forum Foundation. She is a representative of the Asia Pacific Region and has undertaken research and projects in ‘Building Foundations for Skills of the Future’.

Sanya was a committee member for the National Guidelines for Early childhood programs across the country, put together by the NCERT, titled ‘Preschool Curriculum’ & EYE Guidelines for Quality Early Years Education. Sanya has been a speaker at various National Conferences & has been part of various Round Tables on early childhood education, entrepreneurship and curriculum development.
She is a visiting faculty and examiner at SNDT Women’s University, Nanavati College, Nirmala Niketan College of Home Science and a guest lecturer at Azim Premji University, Bengaluru. Sanya actively writes blogs on early childhood, parenting and women-centric topics.

Sanya has previously been a part of a team which created a curriculum to train women to be ECCE teachers.

Sanya has been actively involved with the youth wing of the Rotary International, Rotaract and lead over 1800 youth members between 18 – 30 years, across 40 Rotaract Clubs in Mumbai, Thane, Ulhasnagar & Ambernath

Born and brought up in Mumbai, not many people know that Sanya is an accomplished Table Tennis player. Married to Parth and mother to Dhwit, Sanya is a motivated and intuitive educator.
